Diablo Immortal will be a comfortingly familiar. The trademark isometric viewpoint, intense combat featuring a myriad of monsters and fountains of loot are all there. In addition, Immortal has clearly been built around it's Diablo 4 Items engine and uses the assets of the game, but it retains the feel and atmosphere of its 2012 title from Blizzard. Immortal's artwork features the same vividly colored golden glow, and the combat is the same addictive firework display, and the clang and splatter sound effects are the same as the, Pavlovian satisfaction.

This is because Immortal is the same game in a new context that the opinions of different segments of the game's audience can vary in such a wide range. Current Diablo fans are not happy with how their favorite game has been made to be monetized in the new free-to-play version, whereas mobile game gamers, used to this kind of business model and are awed by the quality, polish, and scope Immortal is bringing it's predecessors. Neither20 or 30 character levels you might not think you're missing anything.
