It's been incredibly easy to be skeptical about Blizzard due to the Diablo 4 Gold within that company which involved the abuse of employees as well as a ton of high profile departures, including the original director for Diablo 4 itself. Yet, I have to say the fact that everything I've read about and seen in Diablo 4 has looked fantastic, and exactly what I've been hoping to see from the game. There is no indication that we will be marching into something that seems like a terrible idea like auction houses. I'm having a hard time imagining why this game isn't going to be a huge success at a moment that Blizzard badly needs one.

I do have some difficult to believe that an April 2023 date can be trusted. It's a Triple A game production. You can almost bet that the date of the announcement for a gameis, no regardless of how confident the creator believes in it, most likely, it will be delayed at least one time. We'll call it the "Starfield" rule. In the case of Diablo it has extra Blizzard drama attached, including the loss of its lead throughout the production. Therefore, I wouldn't be shocked to hear that Diablo 4 was pushed into summer. I would guess that it will be a month away when it's announced officially, these plans from April could even be modified.

The deal is battling for approval in a number of nations, and although Call of Duty is the primary focus, the concept is that, in theory a Microsoft-owned Blizzard would put console and PC version of Diablo 4 on Game Pass in the same way that they do with everything else they own. Unlike Call of Duty, where past Sony agreements might prevent the game from being available on Game Pass for a few years, it's unlikely something like that will apply to Diablo in the same way, which could be a huge victory for Microsoft.

I am not entertaining the notion it is possible that buy Diablo 4 Gold is going to be an Xbox exclusive, because the following reasons: A) Microsoft wants those alt-platform sales and A) I don't think this acquisition agreement will be done by the time that this game is released. But never say never, I suppose.
